In crystallisation, controlling the conditions for crystal formation and growth relates directly to the achieved product quality and consistency. As the OBR is very effective in controlling the process conditions in a predictable way, it is highly effective in performing crystallisation.
The OBR is very effective in controlling:
- Mixing and dispersion
- Heat transfer
- Plug flow
By having improved control and increased responsiveness to these parameters, process variation is reduced and product consistency is increased.
Additionally, operation of a more consistent process can be predicted more effectively and allows for greater selectivity of outcome.
