Solids Suspension
The Oscillatory Baffled Reactor has the ability and capability to deliver a higher degree of solid suspension with no sedimentation. This leads to faster reaction times.
Traditional mixing problems associated with scale-up do not occur with a COBR as the reactor diameter remains small.
The generation and cessation of vortices within the COBR ensure that the fluid mechanical conditions are fully repeatable and that there are no dead zones throughout the whole system thus optimising the possible interactions between the particles.
