NiTech Solutions CatContiCryst project for innovative Li-ion battery technology

NiTech Solutions is very pleased to announce that its CatContiCryst project has won funding from the UK Research and Innovation’s Faraday Battery Challenge to develop new technology for manufacturers of Li-ion batteries for electric vehicles (EVs).

The project is being implemented with partners University of Sheffield and Technology Innovation Catalyst, CPI. It aims to develop an innovative continuous manufacturing process for the key materials used in Cathode Active Materials (CAM’s), including single-crystal cathode (SCC) batteries. SCC batteries are an area of growing interest for EVs given their potential to increase range and battery life while reducing charging time.
