NiTech Solutions Key Success Criteria

The criteria below are based on lab-scale conditions. NiTech Solutions reactors and crystallizers allow you to achieve lab-scale kinetic data at production scale.

Reactions

Main phase must be liquid (viscosity generally lower than 500 cP).

Process conditions between -20 and 200 ⁰C and below 25 bar can be performed.

Kinetic reaction times from seconds to hours.

Particle concentration should generally be lower than 25 %, higher % may be possible depending on particle size and density.

Specific gravity of solids should generally be lower than 1.5, higher may be possible depending on particle size.

Gas concentration should generally be lower than 10 % where oscillations are used; higher may be possible when either gas is a reactant or operated without oscillation.

Unit can be configured for multiple reagent feeds at different points.

Dynamic separation by density feasible depending on liquid densities.

Crystallization

Cooling and antisolvent including winterization.

Process conditions up between -20 and 200 ⁰C and below 25 bar can be performed.

Crystallization times up to a few hours.

Main phase viscosity should generally be lower than 500 cP.

Specific gravity of crystals should generally be lower than 1.5; higher may be possible depending on particle size.

Particle concentration should generally be lower than 25 %, higher % may be possible depending on particle size and density.

Examples above are for illustrative purposes only, based on typical ranges. Reactions and crystallizations out of these ranges may also be possible.
